Choosing plants for a home or garden is a match between the plant and the place. Light, space and the time available for upkeep decide what will do well.

Poshinda supplies plants for home and garden use across India. The range is grouped by where the plant is meant to live rather than by species alone.

This page explains how to read that grouping and what each type needs after it arrives.

Light, Space and Upkeep Decide Which Plants Survive

Light is the first constraint. A plant sold as an indoor plant needs indirect light, not darkness. Rooms set away from windows suit only a small number of species.

Space is the second. Root depth has to match container depth. A plant that will grow tall needs a pot that can anchor it.

Balconies add wind and direct sun. Plants that do well indoors often struggle there.

Upkeep is the third. Some plants tolerate irregular watering. Others do not. Matching the plant to the attention it will actually receive prevents most early losses.

Poshinda Groups Plants by Where They Are Grown

The range is organised into four groups.

•    Indoor plants: Snake Plant, ZZ Plant and Aglaonema handle low light and irregular watering. They suit rooms and workspaces.

•    Flowering plants: Hibiscus, Bougainvillea and Ixora need direct sun. They are balcony and terrace plants in most Indian homes.

•    Fruit plants: Mango, Guava and Lemon can be container grown, though they need larger pots and consistent feeding.

•    Garden and outdoor plants: Thuja and Golden Cypress are used for structure and boundaries in open garden space.

Each group carries different watering and feeding requirements.

Plants Need the Right Soil and Feeding After They Arrive

A plant arrives in nursery soil. That soil is prepared for transport and short-term holding, not for long-term growth.

Repotting into a proper growing medium within the first few weeks gives roots room to establish. Potting Mix is made for that step.

Feeding starts once the plant has settled, usually after new growth appears. Feeding earlier, while roots are still recovering, does little.

Watering settles within the first month. A plant moved from nursery conditions into a home usually needs less water than it received before, not more.

Poshinda manufactures both the growing medium and the nutrition range. This is the connection the plant listings do not state on their own.

Plant selection, soil and feeding are one sequence rather than three separate purchases. The plant sets the requirement. The soil supports the roots. The feeding maintains growth.

The Garden section lists the full plant range, grouped by indoor, flowering, fruit and outdoor use.
